Fall 2022 Call for Print Submissions: Climate's Decisive Decade
Achieving an Equitable Green Transformation
The 2030 deadline to halve carbon emissions is looming, and we are falling short. Policymakers, business leaders, and communities must move more quickly to implement a tectonic shift away from an international system that equates carbon with power. In its place, we must build a global order that is socially and environmentally sustainable. In the context of this nearly paralyzing urgency, how do we envision our world in 2030? What models of green growth hold the most promise for ensuring a just transition? And in a world beset by crises, how can we move from lip service to policy action?
Sub-themes include: Energy Security, Sustainable Development, Green Industrialization and Innovation, Just Economic Transition, Securitization, Displacement and Migration, Human Rights, and New Models of Governance.
The Fletcher Forum encourages gendered, post-colonial, and other critical viewpoints on all of the above questions and sub-themes.
